Agreement for preliminary consultation.
These legal terms refer to the preliminary consultation carried out by Jurídico Cortes, email: juridicocortesh@gmail.com (the lawyer), subject to the following terms and conditions:
1.- During the consultation, the lawyer will evaluate your case and/or answer any questions related to our areas of specialty described on this website, as well as any administrative management that you desire.
2.- The fee for the regular consultation is $500.00 Mexican pesos, to be paid at the time of scheduling the consultation. For the emergency consultation, an additional charge of $150.00 Mexican pesos applies, Taxes apply if the client is physically in Mexico at the time of the consultation. In the event that the client hires the lawyer to represent him or her before the corresponding authorities, the consultation fees will be deducted from the total fees for the representation service, as follows:
- Applies to contracts signed within 4 weeks after the date of the preliminary consultation and when it represents 10% or less of the total representation fees.
- Apply only once.
- The emergency rate does not serve as a discount.
3.- If the client needs to change the appointment time, they can do so up to 48 hours before the appointment, unless there is Force Majeure. (Force majeure is an unpredictable and irresistible event, including external causes with the same characteristics). The attorney could request evidence of such an event.
4.- The consultation can be canceled and is refundable, less an administrative fee for cancellation corresponding to 20% of the payment made. This can be done up to 48 hours before the appointment.
5.- The consultation lasts one hour, maximum one hour and thirty minutes. In the event of a shorter duration by mutual agreement, the remaining minutes cannot be used for other future services and cannot be compensated by a partial refund of the consultation fee. If the client arrives late for the appointment, or does not show up, the lost time will not be compensated.
6.- The lawyer will inform the client of the fees for representation services during the consultation or shortly after. Fees are established based on several factors, including the complexity of the case, or any particular circumstances, based on the information shared by the client during the consultation. If a contract is not signed within 4 weeks of the appointment, rates are subject to change without notice.
7.-All information is strictly confidential and will not be shared with any third party.
8.- The client can share copies of the documents during or before the consultation. Before the consultation, the lawyer has no obligation to read, even partially, the shared copies. These documents will be securely destroyed without delay after the consultation.
9.- The terms and conditions of this agreement are governed exclusively by the laws of the state of Veracruz, Mexico. Any dispute or difference relating to the application or interpretation of this agreement, or in any other way relating to this agreement, will be heard exclusively by an authority of the state of Veracruz, Mexico.
10.- By accepting these terms, the client confirms having read, understood and accepted the terms and conditions mentioned in advance and having read the additional details established on this page.
